Welcome to Samudra Engineering Solutions

We are glad to meet you and provide you with the perfect solution

Our Services

We provide wide-range services for Non-Destructive Test (NDT), Asset Integrity Inspection as well as Heat Treatment Solutions. We provide Inspection Services mainly to the Oil & Energy and Marine industries, specifically in Petrochemical, Refinery, Shipyards and Ports.

With internationally certified and highly qualified inspectors and technicians in various disciplines, we are able to provide a total inspection solution to meet client’s needs and expectations.

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is the method to detect and evaluate flaws in materials without causing damage or failure. Flaws can affect the integrity and serviceability of the material or structure.

Samudra’s inspectors are highly skilled, experienced, qualified and certified in accordance with international certification schemes (e.g., PCN (EN 473/ IS0 9712), ANSI CP-189 and SNT-TC 1A).

Our inspectors are certified with:

API 510, Pressure Vessel Inspector

API 570, Piping Inspector

API 653, Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector

API 580, Risk Based Inspection

CSWIP Welding Inspector (3.1, 3.2)

BGAS Coating Inspector

Tischuk Risk Based Inspection Practitioner

FloormapVS MFL manufacturer training

The various methods of NDT we offer including:

  • VT – Visual Test
  • UT – Ultrasonic Test (Ultrasonic Testing method uses high frequency ultrasonic waves to detect surface and subsurface discontinuities. This method is also commonly used in measuring thickness of various materials)
  • MT – Magnetic Particle Test (Magnetic particle examination is effective in locating surface or near surface discontinuities of ferromagnetic materials. It is most commonly used to evaluate weld joint surfaces, intermediate checks of weld layers and back-gouged surfaces of the completed welds)
  • PT – Penetration Test (PT is capable of detecting surface-connecting discontinuities in ferrous and nonferrous alloys. Liquid penetrant examination can be used to examine the weld joint surfaces, intermediate checks of individual weld passes, and completed welds. PT is commonly applied on austenitic stainless steels where magnetic particle examination is not possible)
  • ET – Eddy-current Test (Eddy current inspection is used to detect surface discontinuities, and in some cases subsurface discontinuities. Eddy current can be used as a quick test to ensure that the components being joined during welding have the same material properties, and as a quick check for defects of the weld joint faces)
  • Holiday Test (Holiday Test is a method to detect discontinuity in protective coating / lining that exposes unprotected surface to the environment)
