Grounding monitor/Overfill prevention

Samudra is official reseller and local Malaysian partner with pioneer and European Market Leader for Grounding and Overfill Prevention; TIMM from Germany. TIMM specialized in measurement and control equipment for applications in hazardous areas, mainly in the petrochemical industry.

The advantage for TIMM’s EKX-4 grounding monitor is, it ensures static electricity is discharged to the ground by a grounding cable and continuously monitors the grounding quality. Only if the connected object is detected and grounded properly, the electronic control outputs will switch and filling release will be signaled by green, widely visible LEDs. While the Overfill prevention controller EUS-2 serves as the central component in adherence to both the European VOC Directive 94/63/EC and American API RP 1004. This intelligent system vigilantly monitors tanker compartment levels, truck grounding, and vapor recovery connections, promptly interrupting the filling process at the loading gantry in the event of any critical situations.

Product benefits:

Grounding control device

  • It is used in gas and dust hazardous areas of zone 1 and 21 – mainly in the petrochemical and chemical industry.
  • Prevents manipulation due to object recognition (by measuring the impedance)
  • Simple device configuration (e.g. “road tank truck “, “railway tank wagon “)
  • Automatic diagnosis system continuously self-monitors all safety-related functions

Overfill prevention controller

  • It is compatible to all trucks with optical or NTC thermistor high level sensors that are in compliance with EN 13922 (both five-wire or two-wire)
  • Continuous self-test of all safety-related functions
  • Two self-monitored control outputs, configurable outputs, and a serial data interface
  • Supports up to 8 two-wire and 12 five-wire sensors
